  1. Looking forward to following your 2011 reading reviews. I am also undertaking a reading challenge but not quite as many books as you. Blogging about it at http://amandajenner.wordpress.com/.

Currently i’m reading Persuasion by Austen which I note is one of your favourites. If your challenge is fairly flexible as to what what you can read (which unfortunately mine isn’t), judging by your taste in books I would greatly recommend One Day by David Nicholls.

    Good luck, A x

  3. I recently re-read Emma, Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, Persuasion, Jane Eyre and am now onto The Professor. It is always always always a joy to read these. And they stay with me for days after.
Have you read any Peter Mayle? I highly recommend his ‘Acquired Tastes’ and ‘Toujours Provence’.
Also, ‘Farewell, my Subaru’ by Doug Fine. Its HILARIOUS!!
And ‘Geography of Bliss’ by Eric Weiner. Equally entertaining.
And ‘The Shadow of the Wind’ by Carlos Ruiz Zafon. Very dark and rich.
And ‘The Thirteenth Tale’ by Diane Setterfield. Totally gets under your skin.
And last but not the least, ‘The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society’ by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows.

Good luck with your list! 🙂

  4. I recently came across your blog because, like you, I think I’m definitely a book addict. I can never walk out of a book store with out a purchase or out of the library with out a bag full of books. I have lists of books I want to read and books I want to reread.
There definitely seems to be a theme going on with your book selection (Jane Austen novels and other books related to her novels). I adore her novels as well.
If you ever need any book suggestions just let me know. I’m bursting to tell people the latest books I have read.

    • HAHA I do read a lot of Austen fan fiction! I think it’s because I love historical fiction novels so much, especially ones set in the Regency Period. (Don’t get me wrong I love Darcy too)

I’m ALWAYS open for more suggestions on books. I have a to-read pile that just keeps growing, but somehow I manage to make it through it. Whenever you come across something that you loved, please please please share with me! I love being recommended books that people had strong reactions too. Makes me want to read it all the more!

  5. Great list! I think you may like thee titles (sorry if they were in your list! I did not see them though:)
