What Are You Reading This April?

How is April already halfway over?? I’ve read 12 books in for the month already and I’m hoping to double that number for the end of the month.  You can find my completed books list here.  Here’s what I’m hoping to read the rest of the month: Seduction by M.J. Rose, Life after Life by Kate Atkinson, and Paris: A Love Story by Kati Marton.

Now it’s your turn! Tell me what’s currently got you hooked in the comments section below!

    • I must say “Brava”. Reading that many books isn’t an easy task. If I had more time I would love to read more, but this month I’m focusing on only a couple. I’m not saying which ones yet, because it is a surprise for my blog. Although I will say that the books will be in the YA genre.
Good luck with your ambitious reading and I hope you make it!

  1. I am having a thriller month. Finished ‘Edge’ by Jeffrey Deaver and ‘I See you’ by Greg Hurwitz. On to Dennis Lehane’s Shutter Island now. Have fun with the rest of your April reads!

  2. i just finished reading the The Water Lily Cross by Anthony Eglin ……… not a bad read , planning to read another one after blogging excerpts from this . I’ve read kate atkinson’s emotionally weird many years back ,which i liked , so i may try “life after ” , after your review .

  3. Hi! I’m currently reading “The marriage plot” by Jeffrey Eugenides. It’s funny and witty and I really enjoy it.
Next book : a Woody Allen…I am in the mood for satirical, humorous, self-mockery books…:)

  4. Wow, that’s quite a list. I’ve just finished ‘The Daylight Gate’ by Jeanette Winterson, am halfway through ‘Gone Girl’ (Gillian Flynn) and am also hoping to get through ‘Life After Life’ this month.

  5. I’m also reading Seduction–in fact I’ve got to get my review up! I’m also going to read Susan Elia MacNeal’s upcoming latest His Majesty’s Hope. Looking forward to that one very much. I love her “sleuth” Maggie Hope, intrepid mathematician and all around smart woman.

  6. The only thing I have to say is : how do you do to read that much in a month ? Did you learn a method to do so ? I’m very curious to know 🙂
(For know I’m reading Tender is the night from Fitzgerald and Eichmann in Jerusalem fromHannah Arendt)

    • I’ve become a very fast reader.(My pace is about 100 pages an hour) The more I read the faster my pace got. I tell everyone who asks me, dedicate a half hour of your day to reading. You’ll find that when you do it every day that 30 minutes will start equating out to more and more pages read every time.

      • That is amazing ! I’ve been reading everyday for decades (I started young) and eventhough my pace is improving, I can’t read that much in an hour yet. I’ll keep on improvig !
